THE BEACH BOOK
Today I had a chance to read the beach book by Bret Sigillo and Gunnar Ek.
Although I saw some enthousiastic reviews on Amazon.com, I am sorry to say that I was shocked by wrong names of places, the confusing directions to get here or there and the lack of logic: index and entrees.
Map comes with the beach, but the name of the beach is not on the map. The beach has a number. The reader has to go back to the index with numbers.
How hard is it to put a name on a map?
Names on map by Hiking Curaçao
There obviously was no proofreading of the book.
Among other unnecessary language hick-ups: every bay is called baii. It is baai or bay or boca. Tera Kora or Kórá (village), not Kota.
